Amazn issues

Hey guys I have a question or two.

I just did a mailbox mod on the mes 40 (gen 2). I lit up one row of apple pellets to test this new mod out before using it later so I could work out any issues (smart!). The row is about out now and it's been almost 3 hours. Only issue is the mes keeps filling with thick white smoke. And I mean THICK!

What's the issue here? Any help would be appreciated.

Ok the apple pellets out out white smoke for 3 hours until they burned out. So then I started up a row of hickory and same thing white smoke....

I decided to cover up half the 1" hole in front of the mailbox with a magnet and it seems to be working well.
