Add small smoke box or use an A-MAZE-N-SMOKER?

Im building a smoker/grill i was wondering the best way to add smoke since i really like the looks of it now i dont really want to add anything to the outside of the cooker but i will do what is gonna work the best. the cooking surface is 34"x48" i will add pics of it for a better idea. Thanks in advance

what kinda fuel are you using ? gasser, electric, charcoal, stuck burner....
