I finished up the handles for the vents and FB door latch. I also welded out the CC door seal. Its popped out 1/8 one corner on the bottom and 3/16 the other bottom corner. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to try and get it in better or just use a couple toggle clamps to push them in. I can push them in with my hands. I put hinges on the CC door, they tightened enough that it stays open. I just need to figure out the CC door, put a handle on it and do the stack and I'll be ready for a fire.

Put wheels on and finished the exhaust cap and adjuster. Need a chipping hammer to make the handle for that. I only need to add the upper vent in the door, then take it outside and put the exhaust on. I should have a test fire this weekend, I've got to buy a temp gauge too.

Fabbed my upper vent. Tomorrow night I'm cleaning up welds and weld bb's then it's going outside to mount the stack. Hopefully I can build a fire in it this weekend and see how it works. I need to get it sandblasted next week so I can season and paint.

It's alive!!!! After 35 min it's at 325 degrees vents wide open. When it hits 350 I'll choke it back and see how well I can control it. My FB door tightened up but only when closed all the way it swings fine, not sure what's up with that.

I've got to get it sandblasted first. I'm going to start with chicken to figure out how it works before I throw something expensive in there.

Seems to work perfectly. Vents are barely open, running at 250. No visible smoke from the stack. I'm ready for sandblast and paint. It takes a good 30 to 45 min to heat up with a small fire. But after that it takes 1 split every 30 to 45 min to maintain 250. Thanks everyone who helped, I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Finally finished sandblasting and paint. If anyone is thinking of blasting a smoker themselves don't. Way more trouble than it was worth. I did the saran wrap and RTV this morning and started my charcoal basket. Should be doing seasoning and test cook tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who helped with my build, couldn't have done it without this site.

First cook today. It worked flawlessly. Held temp perfect, reacted perfect to any change I made to the intakes. Food came out great. I cant thank everyone on this site enough, my smoker wouldnt have worked without you guys.
