smoked 2 Butts Wednesday night after cutting each 1 in 1/2 to reduce cook time. Just got thru smoking 4 more that I left whole, these are headed to my wife's work where they are having a contest. May not be the best but man its some good eats lol , on a side note, cutting them in 1/2 didn't finish any faster than left whole, I suspect the thickness was the reason, more bark on the cut ones as it added more outside edges.

as you can see I had the inkbird6 working, it alerted me from a dead sleep that I had hit my set temps, another cook in the book without having to stay up the whole time. I did find that the app reset the graph numerous times and may be because I used the phone and it dropped the app? may set it up on a kindle fire and see how it does if that's possible then leave it running

I have a 4 probe , and I love it . Yes it resets the app if you exit out to use the phone . I use an old phone or my tablet if I want to view a complete cook .

Looks great ! Yeah , I was making sausage and threw a 4 lb. hunk in the smoker for a " quick cook " for supper . Almost 9 hours later .

What temp were you cooking at? I'm surprised that the time didn't decrease at all. I've halved butts before and had a significant decrease in cook time

+1 Others have reported this as well. Maybe you are comparing 2 butts vs one butt? 2 butts in MES took 25.5hrs. I am very much looking to trying the butterflied butt method.

I had it set at 250 the whole time, less smoke than i wanted but was on a time crunch and would have done smoke for 2 hrs, alarm woke me at 130 and the new shredding tool for the drill pulled it in 5 minutes or less would have been fine if it had taken til 530 butt I will have a better handle on 8-10 lbs butts the next time

Don't blame yourself for that crappy app. All Bluetooth thermos use some version of that crappy app platform. It's awful and it's garbage and some company (hint hint Inkbirdbbq Inkbirdbbq ?) Could REALLY do well for themselves by being the first with a better solution. Many of those apps haven't even had new code written for them in 3 years.

Hi friend,
Hope you are doing well.

Our Bluetooth products will continue to record if you always open the APP. If something make the app quit,it will start to re-record.If the app exits for too long,It will be re-record too.
Our WIFI thermometer is testing period, although leave the app can keep recording.
We are improving all the time hope you guys keep supporting us!

Hugs,
Miya

Love the equipment, the bugs are on my learning curve as to the best way to use it, practice makes perfect . the pad will probably work better than my phone as I can make it stay on and can keep a charger connected to it. trial and error will tell the tail
