first of all how does one become a otbs member?
second I live in oklahoma and have not been able to find any events or get togethers in my local vicinity to attend.....is it possiable for a rookie to organize such a thing?...................yeah I am hooked on smokin.

as to your second question ty,
I hosted my forst "smoke off" in carson city in June. There was only 2 of us but we had a blast and everyone enjoyed the Q. I ran a non sanctioned event but id you go to the kcbs website there id information there. I only had 2 teams because of the short time i put it together. if you find a worthy cause to support, a couple good sponsors and have 1 year of planning time you can certianly host a competition. But, i think there are others here who could give you more and better information.

OTBS membship is by invitation, fellow members nominate you an then the powers that be look over yer resume so to speak.

Lots a smokin needs ta be done, hepin others learn the craft, bein a good neighbor. It takes a bit of time usually, but is enjoyable an well worth the effort in my book. Show us how yall are learnin the craft an sharin that experience with others. Hep folks whenever ya can. Make friends here, that's the best way ta become a member of this forum an OTBS.
