19 year old noob

Hi everyone just became a member after watching my dad use the site for awhile now.
I'm 19 years old from Monona, Iowa but currently living in Laramie, Wyoming as i attend college at Wyotech for Diesel and Advanced Diesel courses. I bought my first smoker while in wyoming not very expensive but after a few mods its got all my friends over at my place looking for whatever i'm smoking
My smokers base is a brinkman i bought from Ace hardware like around 50 bucks and the rest of it is an older gas grill i picked up for free sitting on a street curb. I took the regulator burners and valves out of the grill and fit them under the original ash pot and the valves fit perfectly under the smoker body.
I smoke almost every weekend and smoke mainly brisket pork lion roasts and steaks
Just thought i'd make my intro to the forum and let you know who i am

Welcome to the forum.  I am familiar with both your location (Laramie, Wyoming) and your smoker.  I graduated from the U of W MANY years ago and really liked Laramie (I'm from north-central Wyoming).  I am also familiar with your smoker, which I believe is the ECB (Extra Cheap Brinkmann).  That is what I use for all  my smoking (it is all I have).  If you have burners, you have modified and gone to propane, I assume.  I did all the recommended mod's to the Brinkmann and really like it as a smoker (I still use charcoal).  If you have any questions I might be able to answer, just give me a PM and I will try and help in any I can.

P.S. My grandson goes to UtI here in Phoenix and is participating in the diesel program.
