Since I smoked a packer brisket. I think I am going to do my reverse burnt ends again. That is making burnt ends out of the flat and slicing the point.
Out family party is not until Sat at that time I will slice and make the burnt ends on my Weber kettle grill.

Our local supermarket (Jewel) had a 3-day sale for Pork Shoulder for $0.99/lb. Picked up one last night and immediately put it on the smoker for an overnight smoke.

Have not done a pork shoulder in quite a while.
Picked up the standard 2 pack boneless pork shoulder from Costco at $1.89/lb.
Used Riley's Seasoning (lpicked up at IL State Fair) for the rub direclty on the pork (i.e. did not use mustard or O.O.)

Been wanting to smoke a brisket for a while, Each time I go to Costco I always stop and look to see what they have. A full 15lb + packer is just too much for our family unless we want to throw a party. And buying an overtrimmed flat is WAY to expensive at ~$6.50/lb

Have not made baby back ribs in a while so with the warmer temps I thought this would be a perfect day.
Put the ribs on the GEN 2 30" MES just before heading to work (sorry no pics) but the same procedure.

Thinking about doing this next time. The burnt ends are so tasty and go so fast that the larger flat portion may proivde just enough and the smaller point may satify those that want sliced brisket.
