Thinking of building a mini UDS. I found a new 20 gal. steel drum for $60. Thats a lot but I'm still looking around for a used one.

Made it today. Came out pretty good. I used the chop burner and it worked out ok. I will be getting an AMNPS.

I'm going to give this a try this weekend. Picked up a 4.3lb chuck. Hopefully all goes well. I'll be throwing it in my MES 30.
Don't have an AMNS so should it be ok with the chips on the stock burner?
Picked up an 8.5 lb. brisket today. Have a party Saturday and am hoping for the best.
Going with the same method. Last one was a flat that was trimmed too much. I think.
Rubbed it today and plan on smoking it early Saturday morning. Party is at 2 will be real early.
