Use some charcoal as the base fuel source as all I could get my hands on was applewood chunks, sauce wise just gonna use a Memphis style BBQ sauce from the store, didn't think about making a finishing sauce till it was to late, I was more worried about the butt
Been following along on the advice, butt just hit 165 IT, put it in foil, now to wait for the 195-205 mark, rubbed it down with grill masters applewood rub and smoked it with apple wood and Stubbs wood chip blend!
Been researching smoking and good BBQ for over a year now, fell in love with it via Pitmasters on tv. I have attempted ribs once and that is what my profile picture is from. I currently do my smoking on my Kingsford grill. I am really wanted to purchase a vertical weber smoker!
