A few years ago, a lot of SI analog users were adding the Auber controller and cranking it up to 325 with no reported harm. If you look at the SI site, you will see that the element is 1200 watts for all model 3's. No differences. I have had my 3D for some time with no issues. Took a while...- old sarge

Smokintex temperature fluctuation
You could maybe post on the Smokin-it section of the SMF rather than the SmokinTex. You might get some advice from other Smokin-it owners who frequent this forum . And I hope you get the controller sealed up well. RTV650 might work if you find gaps. Check with Steve.- old sarge
