    best beer for BBQ

I'll side with jake... Beer is like cheese... Some cheeses you eat at room temp. Some you eat cold. The best beers I've drank were stouts around close to room temp.

    Cedar smokehouse construction

Sweet! Here's a heads up for any non-mason to evenly lay CMU. Product called a CMU joint spacer. It's a small shim of metal that you set blocks one then mortar/tuck point. You can probably make them yourself with 1/8" steel strapping. Thought I'd throw that out there.

    Help: Loropetalum (Plum Delight)

Ain't a flower but there's no shrub forum :) Does anyone have (or have successfully grown) a Loropetalum Plum Delight? I am having a hell of a time getting mine to become established toward being nearly maintenance free. I've searched the internet and found nothing particularly useful. I've...

    Venting Smoke - Traeger Jr.

Yes RVT high temp seal. I found it in Ace. It worked awesome and has still perform well to this day; so well that the smoke billows from the dome temp gauge. I didn't block the vents.

    Insulation in an Island

Howdy! I've searched for the answer to my question but I can't find it.  I'm designing an island to put my grill and Traeger in... Question is:  What brand, rating, etc... insulation should I use under the smoker belly?  The insulation should be right up against the belly and enclosed within...

Turning existing concrete/adobe building into smokehouse

Great job on the build!  I'll be by next week to pick it up.  Thanks for all the hard work!  lol.  It looks really, really awesome.  I'll talk my dad into making one of these out at his place. Flat strap bracing on the rack ought to cinch it up and give it some decent shear

I agree. I really like it a lot. Easier to nav on the iPhone out by the grill. Thank you for the effort in providing an area for this community! Some "icons" don't show up properly. Is it on my side or the server side?
