    Where did I go wrong?

This was my first attempt in my new Masterbuilt electric smoker.     Pork Butt was in the smoker by 7am.    It was small,  only 3.5 pounds.     IT at 160,   I wrapped it in foil.    Seemed to reach it's plateau at 180,  as it sat there for about 45 minutes.    When the IT reached 204,  I checked...

    Back and ready to smoke

I joined this site a few years ago,  after I found a smoker at a flea market for $5.   I could never get the temp above 180 or so,  and keeping it at that was a real struggle.     Fast forward to now.    I bought a Masterbuilt 30" from Lowes.   It may not be the top of the line,  but I love the...

    New from Oley, Pa

Thinking of doing a pork butt for my first attempt.  Probably won't be for a while yet.  Going away this week,  and we didn't get to the butcher shop today,  so tomorrow is out of the question,  and work Tuesday. I have a question on the Smoke n Grill mods.  Why put the legs on the outside?  ...

    New from Oley, Pa

Hi.   Picked up a Brinkman Smoke n Grill at a fleamarket for $5.   Got new grates and dishes for $20 online.   Don't think I did that bad.   Now,  I just need to learn how to use it.   I can cook over a fire with no problem,  now to cook with smoke.
