    The Kroger owned stores, Fryer, Fred's, etc, usually work at the other ones, or at least Fred Meyers. Some coupons sometimes don't work for unknown reasons but if you have the phone app and scan the bar code it will tell you what discounts will be applied.

    Thank you all once again, because of all you I had a $38 bill with a savings of $119 and I only got two pork back ribs at $1.99 (normally $5.99), BOGO, haven't even used the $3.97 chuck roasts coupon ($5.xx on sale here) yes as none looked that good.

    I've found the phone apps are occasionally buggy but I've had better luck with the websites on a computer. Last week I did have an issue where it only gave me the local $7.97/lb for a whole Ribeye instead of the $5.97 from area 87571, I had them both clipped and that might have been the issue...

    I have a #20 mixer, it doesn't attach to the grinder but a buddy of mine with a machine shop made me a drill attachment that replaces the hand crank and a cover that slides over the top pretty tightly so it doesn't splatter ground meat all over the place as it mixes.

    Their grinders look almost identical to the Cabela's Carnivore grinders, enough that I wouldn't be surprised if they are made in the same factory. I have an older Cabela's Commercial Series #22 grinder, functionally the same as the new ones, grinds meat as fast as you can drop it down the tube...

    I've tried making it several ways, both wet cured (Pops brine) and dry. Any more I tend to just use Bearcarver's recipe, sometimes with some cracked black pepper pressed into the bellies. After making your own the store bought stuff just won't be the same.

    That's an awesome deal for me on the chicken, they are $3.49/lb here, we have the foster farms chicken bogo but those are $7.99/lb.

    I expect somewhere else will have them cheaper but for my area (99701) $1.79 for pork butts is pretty good now.

    Nothing that good in my area (99701) this next week, just chicken drum sticks and thighs at $0.99/lb. Wasn't that long ago that price would have been normal, not a sale.

    I think I've seen that before. I know I've seen something similar that wasn't fat or meat, so I've trimmed them out when I've seen them but I'm sure I've also just ground them up when I haven't.

    Safeway / Albertsons seems to pay more attention to where you are so this doesn't appear to work with them. Clipping digital coupons from a different Safeway area code did cause them to show up on my phone app but shortly thereafter it wanted to know my location and then those coupons from...

    It appears this also works with Kroger's Cash Back savings (didn't even know that existed till I started after seeing this thread). Currently the Kroger in Dr K's area (61615) has $4 back on 3 Coors/Pringles/Miller items while in my area (99701) the same one is $10 back.
