I just got a new 12 inch tube smoker. Was wondering if it would work ok if I did not fully load the tube for shorter smokes? the 12 in says 12 inch smokes approx. 4 hours on 3/4 lb of pellets. could I do 1/2 lb for 3 hours or so. would it burn ok?
My question is: how many minutes per pound at this temp. I’m really just heating it up since its pre cooked. And also is this a good temp to cook at for reheating?

Just got my larger chip tray upgrade. Just wondering. I was able to work with the smaller chip tray for short smoke times. Wondering with the larger chip tray how much to load it with chips to get it started and keep it going for several hours.
so If I rewire my MES can I just splice into the existing wireand add the 12 guage, or do i need to replace the entire wire, my issue is i have the access panel by the heat element. not access to the top so I would have to remove the entire panel to replace entrie wire.
