    Vertical, Insulated, Reverse Flow

Nice build.  This style is my next build.  As for the seal, look for "tadpole seal".  You can use panhead self tappers to attach it to your frame.  The seal is thick enough to not reach the screw heads when closed.

Built another one, center firebox double reverse flow patio model.

With the firebox centered on the cook chamber the smoke and heat rises and encounters the baffle plate where it then turns left and right.  I add a piece of angle welded to the baffle centered on the firebox opening.  This is a stiffener to combat the direct heat and also helps direct the...

More pork today, in way of loin chops

Well since I can't seem to get enough of this stuff, I did some loin chops and a few chickens today.  Chops were marinated in a herb, garlic, butter mix for 24 hours.  Chickens got a rub down of S&P on one and a mix of S&P, garlic powder, chili powder, opnion powder, and white sugar on the...

    Simple, small, RF build

Thanks roller, I don't know about perfect, but it seems to be working good for me. I'm seeing anywhere from 5-15 degrees ddifference, depending on what stage the fire is at.  Once the fire is stabilized it seems to maintain 5 degrees from end to end.  If you add new coals to it the firebox side...

    Venison Loin today with QView

Thanks all.  These little morsels of goodness didn't last long.  Can't wait for deer season to pack the freezer with some more backstrap.

    Ribs and pork candy

Thanks all.  I'm a rookie at this and the nice compliments must mean I'm on the right track.  I always heard smoking was addicting, but had no idea.

    Ribs and pork candy

Did up some ribs and pork candy today along with another butt and a venison loin.  I posted Qview of the loin in the "Game" section. Used a standard pork rub on everything.  2-2-1 on the ribs.  Left the pork candy on until it carmelized good.  It's interesting how the rub takes on different...

    Venison Loin today with QView

Had some venison Loins given to me so I decided to smokem.  Just rubbed with a very little amount of S&P, garlic and onion powder and a dash of chili powder.  Used a combo of hickory and mesquite during this burn.  Pulled and let rest at around 140.  Very juicy and very tasty.
