Thanks guys. I'm real happy, they turned out great but like I send in another post....I ate too many of the ABT's so by the time the Fatty was done so was I
Made my first ABT's and a Fatty. The ABT's were real good and I think I ate too many. By the time the Faffy was done I was over my limit on the bacon already and well.........
That's what I'm going to make for our SB party so I figured a trial run was in order. My first time for both so it took me a little longer than I would have liked but I'll get better.
Heading out today to pickup peppers, cream cheese, etc. to try them out before the Super Bowl. I seen a few good recipes on here but I guess it's all in what you like. Cream cheese with a little shredded Mexican, a touch of seasoning(garlic, etc.) and a sausage surprise on top, rapped in BACON...
It looks like ABT's it is. I think I'll try a few through the week to make sure everything comes out ok or I want to add to the recipe. I my also try my hand at a fatty since I have most the ltems for it/them. ....can't wait
Hey guys, I'm heading over my buddy's house for a SB party and I told him maybe I'll smoke something to bring over. I'm looking to make something that will go far because of so many at the party but I don't want to brake my bank account either. Any ideas???? It doesn't have to be something...
Great. I'm going to keep the temp about the same as before..225ish. By the way, the fish came out nice. I could have taken it out a bit sooner but I'm VERY happey the way it turned out.....hey, it wasn't bad for the first time using the smoker(any smoker for that matter).
Since I have the smoker up and at temp from the other I cooked I figured I would go ahead and try something else in it(only way to learn is to do it). I have a simple 3.5# packaged brisket in the frig I want to try. Can you put me in the ballpark with temp and a time per pound?......Thanks
I have to tell ya. I have the fish in and I've been check about every 45 min or so and it smells "WOW".......I should have bought a unit and started this a long, long time ago
Sorry guys, I guess I should have said what unit I have....lol. I just picked up the Masterbuilt 30" elec. I'm just getting started so forgive me if I'm on here asking stupid questions
Is there a different probe that I could p/u for my unit. Mine is a dial but it seems it would be easier if I had one either with numbers or a digital setup.
Thanks les. I'm going to mess around a little in the morning until I get the temp where I want it. I'm guessing I can start around 225 for a couple/few hours for the fish. I'm just going to spray the rack and lay the meat, fish, etc on it.
Hi guys and gals. Just bought a MES and need some help on the where, what, when, etc. I have it on right now trying to find where the temp is that I want(just has hi/med/low on the dial). I'm sure some of you guys can step up and help me out. I have some questions but don't know where to start...
