I have never done a whole loin. I go ahead and make my chop cuts and put a rub on each one individually. Then I smoke to 145° You can cut them with a fork. This way is much faster and I feel each cut has a bit more smoke flavor.
They are more dangerous than a gasoline powered saw. They work excellent when you are near a plug like mentioned above.These electric saws do not have a "clutch" so even a pair of safety chaps might not stop the saws., They have a lot of torque when the trigger is held.

Might be directly related to not enough fuel. I have the SNP but I use wood..I never have trouble keeping it at 225° or higher. But , like I said. I am using wood. The wood is cut and split into small pieces.
I bought their remote temp probe a couple of weeks ago.. It was a pure chinese piece of crapola.. It would not work.. I sent the company an email.. And they have YET to email me back.. That is ok I took it back to walmart anyhow..
