On sale at the New Hampshire liquor store for $36.95 for the 1.75L bottle. Regular price is $62.
Edit: that sounds like an advertisement. I just thought it was a great deal. That’s about $25 off.
So there’s a couple threads about jokes, but no official joke thread. I hereby declare this thread the official joke thread.
I’ll start.
What is black and white and red all over?
A hideously overcooked steak, further ruined by the addition of ketchup and mayonnaise.
I’m sorry if I start a pandemic for craving smoked meatloaf. That was not my intention. We’ve already had one pandemic this century, we don’t need another. Even if it’s wrapped in bacon.
It’s been way too long since I’ve done this in the smoker. I haven’t had the time to smoke much these days. The best I can do is my propane fed Weber. It was still delicious though.
Someone at work brought meatloaf for lunch. Heating it up in the microwave in the break room caused the aroma to go everywhere. So, I had to make this again.
I did this on the Weber. I think I need to do it in the smoker next time.
I use mason jars to make mine. I bought wide mouth lids with grommets and an air lock. I also bought glass weights to keep the cabbage under the liquid. Nothing like fresh, homemade sauerkraut.
I hope that’s true, but not around here. Here in New Hampshire, they do “ghost drops” at the liquor stores. I scored a bottle of that when the last drop happened at my local liquor store.
This is what I scored then.
That looks like a very good salad. I used to not like salads, but the older I get, the better I like them.
I like the name, Sad Salad Night.
I too gave up soda years ago. I drink mostly water now. My water just happens to be steeped in grains, and boiled with hops.
I don’t believe New Hampshire has a state fair, but there are several regional/county fairs. I’ve only been to the Hopkinton Fair. I only went because I was working at the beer tent. I won’t go unless I have a reason to.
That makes sense. I was wondering if the brat makers were in cahoots with the bun makers. To get an equal amount of brats to buns, you’d have to buy 6 packages of brats, and 5 packages of buns. In my opinion, not the best way to upsell. But they didn’t ask me.
I’ve had this question for years, but never got a good answer. Why do the big companies that make brats (Johnsonville, looking at you) package them with five brats, when most companies that make buns package six buns?
I actually called the toll free number on Johnsonville’s brat package to ask...
I’ve had cow hearts, deer hearts, and recently, chicken hearts. All pretty tasty.
I’ve not tried sea urchin, and I think I’ll now pass if I ever come across it.
You had me salivating, until you said instant mashed potatoes. No matter how much other flavorings you put into that, you can't take out the fake potato chemical flavor.
The meatballs look delicious.
