    So, picked up some plate from the scrap yard for half the cost which was a win bc they really don’t like you walking on their pile. 1 pc is 5/16” which I plan to use as my FB base as it is the thickest and I believe the bottom will take the most abuse. I then have enough 1/4” to make 1 side...

    Couple snaps of progress so far. Burnt the tank out, bent some hinges up and cut in the door. Going to have to chain the door and jack it as it warped a little nothing to bad though. lessons so far: -wear long sleeves or you’ll get farmers tan from the plasma or rather burn

    looking to build a new smoker soonish (in the next 12 months lol) and I am glad I saw what you did with your hinges accidently. I am building a long build note in my phone with point for items good and bad this is one of the ones I will avoid doing.
