The seller said they never used the propane side of it, I have a bottle and plan on bringing it with to test all the burners before purchasing it.
They originally posted it for $300, I tried and tried but could only get down to $250,. I even walked away from it for a few days thinking they...
I just got a few more pics from the seller, after seeing the new pics does it still look too rough for the money ?
If you were to buy this what would be a fair price ?
I have an electric smoker that I'm happy with, but would like to learn how to smoke more of the traditional way...
I was looking online only for a charcoal grill and propane grill combo and then came across this one that also has a firebox and figured it meets all three of my needs.
Saw this Smoker/Grill on Facebook and am considering pulling the trigger on it.
It looks a little weathered but I'm not sure how much of an effect that'll have on the overall quality.
I asked for more pictures and will post them when I get them.
Here's a few pics of my first brisket. Along with my personal log to track the smoking session.

Alright here's the setup, please let me know if you see something that doesn't look right..
I live at the bottom of a mountain and sometimes get high winds coming down the canyon so I put a soup can on top with quite a bit of holes on top for ventilation. Would it be wise to put it a tarp...
I'm glad you said that! I didn't realize they were notorious for being inaccurate, tomorrow I'll play with it and figure out what temperature I need to set it at in the Smoker to have the real temp
Ok everything makes sense so far. You all are great at explaining everything!
Just bought the Brisket today, I think this first time I'm going to start with just salt and pepper for a good baseline to start from.
Is doing a dry, or wet, brine something you need to do ? Or is just salt...
I don't have any photos of my setup right now. I'm going to be moving in a few months so once I get situated there I will find a more permanent home for the smoker or a nice rolling cart for it.
Ok I'll just play with the vents and see then. I'm currently in El Paso, elevation 3700, so it's...
I am going to smoke my first brisket this weekend, I'm curious if you guys think I am missing anything. This is my first time smoking anything so I'm a little anxious. Haha
Here's everything I have so far:
Mailbox Mod setup
AMZN pellet tray
Dual thermometers
Pink butcher paper
Foil
Cooler...
I have an electric tempature probe already, however I may look into getting a new one as the one I have now is probably 5 plus years old.
I am going to do the mailbox mod here shortly, looks easy and also makes sense...
When I was on this site a few weeks ago I saw a post but can no longer...
Decided I probably won't smoke my first this weekend, will give it another week so I can research more on this site.
Plus I'll have more time available next weekend.
Thank you so much for the reply! I appreciate the in depth answer.
I have seen one of the mailbox mod threads here, and read a bit about it, but didn't understand they "why." . But now it makes sense.
Going to do my first smoke session this weekend, seasoned last weekend.
From my searching on this forum I came to the conclusion that I needed to get the A-MAZE pellet smoker tray. This seems like a obvious answer, but I just want to make 100% sure. Where does the smoker tray go ? I am...
