    Cooking for 75 people!!

Go to your local Chef Store or restaurant supplier and purchase a case or 2 of frozen pre cooked pancakes and waffles. These can be baked and keep arm in a lined cooler till served. I use chef store,us foods in sc for my source. We just did a breakfast for 50 folks for a Friends of Scouting...

Use Kroger coupons and coupons from the Kroger family of stores from nation wide weekly ad digital coupons at your local Kroger

Thanks Dr. K and all who responded to this thread. This will definitely help me when setting up our dinners/catering fundraising meals for the NPO I belong to. I generally purchase my foods from the US Foods Chef Store in Columbia, SC and not a lot from Kroger's, because of the prices. This...

    Seeking TV Set Catering Ideas

Paul, your idea is along the field kitchen ideas. Consider buying a customized food/kitchen truck or trailer that is health department approved and would be self-sufficient on set. This would give you space to address changes in crew numbers, diets, etc. while providing a food safe environment...

    Another CI skillet.

I am as well. If I could "remove" the non-stick items Mrs. Wurst keeps holding on to and replace with CI, I would be in heaven. Because Mrs. Wurst would definitely help me leave this earth?! LOL! Prost! 🍻🍻

    Just started a lonzino today.

Found a little pork loin in the freezer yesterday, abou 2.5# and decided this would be a good piece to make a lonzino from. Trimed a little fat off the loin while Mrs. Wurst made made the spice mixture; completly covered him in the seasoning, vacum sealed and put him the fridge for the next 2...

Why I'm Now Obsessed with Sharp Kitchen Knives

I was actually thinking about using a sheep's or calf's offal for a good Haggas and a stomach added in for a Pennsilfaanisch Deitsch (PA Deutsch) Hag Maw?! 🍻🍻🍻

Ever Eaten Lunch at FW Woolworth's Counter?

I recall the Harvest House in the original King of Prussia Mall (great/cheap date place!) and Plymouth Meeting Mall. They also had a Woolworths on the lower level close to the music store I managed. Great sandwiches and a FOUNTAIN soda!! Oh yea, don't forget Grants either. They were popular in...

Not looking good for us in Florida

Be careful my friend. Don't putz with the storm. My wifes cousin and family just moved to Tampa from Arizonia to be close to the shore. I don't think they expected to be THIS close (and he is originally from NODAK!!) Looks like we'll even see some of Ian's flooding here in the CSRA (Augusta...

Why I'm Now Obsessed with Sharp Kitchen Knives

This discussion of sharps begs this question.... anyone still have their father's or grandfather's straight razor? I found my grandfathers razor cleaning out my dresser this weekend, and the dang thing is STILL SHARP!!! It's still in the original snap felt case, and felt like a lot of memories...

Why I'm Now Obsessed with Sharp Kitchen Knives

The stone is the word! My son "doesn't have the time" to follow his old man, but I love taking his knives and "stoning them" just to get his wife all upset at him! It's become a Thanksgiving and Christmas family ritual - let the old gray haired fat guy sharpen our kinves for some beer/vodka...

    My "Outdoor" Kitchen Tour

Beautiful layout. The front facing view of the marsh land? looks so inviting. Just put me in the "ourdoor kitchen" and I'd be a happy camper. I'm use to sleeping on the ground in an old Army sleeping bag. What do you want me to prepare? I have a great 10 spice kielbasa and a LOT of European...

My wife and grandkids will like it and I won't get any of it! LOL!🤦‍♂️

    Jeeky slicer...worth the money?

I'd go with a good meat slicer. That has more utility than just a jerky slicer. I've used my mandolin and chef knovies when the meat was partially frozen. My wife likes the kifes, I like the slicer. Don't ask who wins?! 🍻

    Pork Belly Prices

I forget where you are located in SC my friend since I've been out of the net for a year or so, but I'm coming back. YE HA! Take a look at the meat supply found in the US Chef Stores (US Foods) located in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia or Charlotte. I buy my primal cuts at the one in...
