Hey Shellbellc,
So far so good with the smoker. Its the first one i've ever been around so I'm starting from scratch. I will say I smoked a pork butt. It was awsome. I've did baby backs twice, 3-2-1 method. i think the best i've ever tasted. so i like it. Its seems to be sturdy and well made...
thanks Debi,
the link link you sent kinda overwhelmed me. I had no idea about corned beef or pastrami. the brisket turned out pretty good. I don't feel like there was much of a smoke ring, but the flavor was good. the Point was a lot more tender than the flat. I'm highly impressed with what...
I had to cut my brisket in half to fit in my vertical smoker. Now the flat part has reached 165 and I've wrapped it in aluminum foil and is at almost 190. The other half is only at 60. Is that normal????
Thanks Crewdawg, I was kind of thinking that way. I thought about the Bacon. The pork is a great idea too. thanks. I didn't last long. the taste was great even though it could of been more moist.
It's not a fatty, and I don't know how it will be. Time will tell. It's a ground Turkey roll stuffed with Pepperoni, dried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. This is what it looked like Before I put it on this morning.
Got the Brisket on the smoker at 7:00am this morning. I know its not a fatty but I'm trying a turkey roll to go on there too. We stuffed it with pepperoni, dried tomatoes and Mozzarella Cheese. here's the pics so far.
Here's the turkey Roll.
I plan on doing my first brisket in the smoker in the morning. The problem is, The brisket is to big to fit in my King Kooker smoker. Is it a problem to cut it in half? Does it matter which piece should go higher in the smoker?
It sounds great. I'm starting mine in the morning. I'm doing the Smoklahoma Brisket from the BBQ University website. I've done it a couple of times on the Phoenix grill and was great. I can't wait to try it slow smoked.
Thanks so much for the warm welcome. MLS that is great news . I mostly quit because of my wifes health problems. I figured she couldn't quit unless I did too. I put them down no problem but I must of made up for it with food, I guess. I've put on quite a bit of weight since then. I'm now trying...
Thanks guys, I'm planning on doing a brisket This weekend. I've done them on the Phoenix Grill and they were great, but not smoked. This will be my first in the smoker.
Hi I'm Marty and I'm live in Southside VA. I put down the Marlboro's last year and couldn't stand it anymore. I had to smoke something. So I bought a King Kooker smoker. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and so far so good. I've done a some Baby Backs and a Pork shoulder. I wish I'd done...
