not concerned on smoke ring or grill marks with this application.
I like a reverse sear after a slow and low cook on my steaks and double cut pork chops.
Has anyone tried the sear daddy from smoke daddy?
I built a pellet grill using 1/4" mild steel with a smoke daddy hopper.
holds temp great just looking to sear on it.
Trying to eliminate some cookers need to down size.

there is a 60 to 1 gearbox with a ¾ hp motor . I run a foot control on it and a reversing switch.
Do you use Photo bucket for your pics or just download off of your pc.

i never brine just rub with whatever & i like to add bbbacon to mine. smokeem in your fav flavor I like hickory or plum on mine.

I have a 160 gal S.S reverse flow going did not follow any calcs on rf plate or intake/exhaust sizeings as i should have I have fired it twice for seasoning and max temp was 207° have pics of the build and will do a thread on it once i get it doing what it is supposed...
