So here it goes.... Seasoned my MBS for four hours on 275.. Last hour added 1/2 cup apple, Mesquite, Alder, and Hickory chips every 15 minutes. Cleaned out the racks and drip pan. Wiped interior down with veggie oil. Have 14# of boneless pork butt in there now. Seasoning blend of White Sugar...
Thanks Al! I'm almost done seasoning my smoker and about ready to do my first pork butt. I've got some great data on the heating and coasting cycle for my smoker that I'd like to post.
Newbie here.. been looking over the forum for a few days. This is my first time using a smoker and have a Masterbuilt 30" smoker that I got for Christmas this year. Firing it up right now and starting to take data on temperatures.
