    Beware of Cadillac Cookers!!!!

The bigger problem with your company is lack of communication, and I dare you to deny that.  Anytime there was an issue, you and Laura are no where to be found.  You know what I am talking about,  leaving a dozen voicemails, using caller ID block to hopefully get a human voice etc.  Just by...

    Beware of Cadillac Cookers!!!!

Thanks, I know.  It goes against my nature to write a post like this, but it is the first time I have felt this abused and helpless.  When you start a new BBQ business, you are totally at the mercy of the people making your cooker.  Conversely, I have heard nothing but good things about LANGE...

    Beware of Cadillac Cookers!!!!

Horrible, absolutely Horrible experience.  They are great at taking your order and money, but don't expect any contact after your completion date has come and gone.  I finally had to get a lawyer involved and it still was 5 weeks late.  Once I got my smoker, the motor tore off of it's mounts and...

    A word of encourangement

Thanks. Brisket and Pulled Pork.  I was going to do sliced turkey, but I could not get it in time.  I think I will skip the turkey because it is more time critical and go with turkey sausage instead.  Trust me, it is no picnic getting certified in Maryland either.  Maybe that is a good thing, I...

No skimping on quality here Dave.  Luckily I have a great meat supplier down the street too!

    A word of encourangement

Not only did the chain break, the motor was torn from the smoker.  Reading between the lines, it sounds like there is a glitch with the motor in some way.

    A word of encourangement

Like many of you, I have tossed around the idea of selling my BBQ.  Finally I found the courage to order a custom  concession trailer with a 6 foot porch which would hold my Cadillac Cooker rotisserie smoker.  All in around 30k.  For months I made a push on Facebook but had no clue if anyone...

    A word of caution!

No not Ole Hickory.  I am not publicly calling them out until I see how this ends.  It seems the harder I push, the slower they become.  And in addition, I would not put it past them to put in a false report to the health department or something once I get started with my business.  If you...

    A word of caution!

I am starting a concession trailer BBQ business.  I had a custom 18 foot trailer built in Georgia with an 6 foot porch.  It is beautiful, and was completed ahead of schedule!.  I also ordered a rotisserie smoker from a company in Missouri, but it is not going so well.  I am keeping names out of...

What is a typical smoked sausage?

Is there a typical type of smoked sausage style?  I am opening a BBQ concession trailer in the Spring and plan to sell brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey and maybe smoked sausage.  I am having trouble figuring out what the standards are that you might find in the famous BBQ regions. Mark

    Taking the plunge

I'm new to the forum, but smoking has been a hobby of mine for over 15 years.  I decided a few months ago, that this Spring, I will take it to another level.  I have ordered an 18 foot concession BBQ trailer that has a 6 foot porch which will hold my Cadillac rotisserie smoker capable of 40 pork...

You bet.  It won't be until the middle of March though.  I happen to also be a professional photographer, so you can count on photos to come! Mark

    Well, I'm going pro

Good for you Jeff!  I too am starting a BBQ business.  I am going to get my feet wet with a concession trailer with a Cadillac Rotisserie smoker.  I have not picked a particular style yet, but all that will be worked out before April when I hope to open.  Good Luck!!!
