I've heard both are good, but which one is better. I've heard water can make the smoke not adhere to the meat as well, but that sand can't regulate temp as well. What do you think?
I got myself a cheap brinkman vertical smoker and gonna mod it from some things I've seen on YouTube. I have Cherry, Apple, and Maple wood so far. Any suggestions on any other woods to use? Any suggestions would be appreciated, love smoked meats and can't wait to smoke ten myself.
