Can Cure 1 go bad? My "Pink Salt" has turned from being pink to a pale color. It was stored in a Rubbermaid container with the lid on...kinda airtight but not perfect. Will it still hold its cure powers?

I know its a brisket and usually brisket gets tender around 195 to 200 but curing the meat should make it tender too..
