I tried doing st Louis ribs in the past and they came out dry and tough( did the 3-2-1 method). I'm looking to get tips on how to get fell of the bone st Louis ribs.
I had some from a bbq joint in Florida and they were amazing.

I've noticed the last couple times I've grilled that I can't get the heat above 450. It's set to full and I'm running the Kingsford pellets. Any ideas would great... Thanks
I've owned the rectec 590 for not quit a year and am loving the living h..l out of this smoker. Does anyone have any good tips for giving it a really good cleaning once and awhile. Kinda OCD when it comes to certain things...... Like my smoker..
Im a new Rec Tec owner and im loving the grill but im wondering....
1) Whats the best way to clean the grates?

I got the Rec Tec 590 and I'm doing the initial start up. I haven't even grilled on it yet and I'm loving this thing, wish I would have pulled the trigger sooner..
So right now i have a pitboss 800 pellet grill that is several years old and it still works but im looking at upgrading.

So im thinking of boiling a half a dozen eggs and smoking them to try it.
My question is, can i boil them, peel them and set them on the grates of my pit boss and use my a-maze-n smoke tube to smoke them ?
I own a pitboss smoker and when i do a longer smoke i would like to get a little more smoke flavor. i know i can adjust the "P" setting but what about those smoke tubes. Whats a good brand, how do you light them and where in the grill do you put them ?

Just joined and wanted to say hello, I live in onalaska wi and just got my first smoker last saturday (pit boss from menards and sunday i did three racks of ribs and loved them. Hope to learn plenty here.
