    Fried Turkey w Q

    Happy Thanksgiving guys, I fried a turkey for the first time today.  I brined it overnight with water, salt, and brown sugar.  It weighed 12 pounds and I fried it for 44 minutes.  Came out great.  Best turkey I ever had.

    Thanks for all the responses. I have a good amount of tools including drill bits but I'm not sure of what type of screws/bolts to use that are safe with high heat and cooking. When it comes to stuff like that I'm clueless.

    was a little little dry but dipped into the juices left over it is insane...  making beans and chicken in about half hour. Chicken all rubbed everything came out great.  chicken was juicy, sweet potatoes were good, and dutch's beans were insane.  hope you guys enjoy

    One hour in.  Temp already at 160.  Not sure how.  i checked another spot and it was 153 so i guess it is accurate.  smoker at 240.  put it in a tin with aluminum foil and some apple cider vinegar, wine, and apple juice (not too much).
