I'm receiving this as a housewarming gift from my Dad. I plan on getting the hinged grate in the future, so I can smoked baked beans while I'm doing my ribs. Without the hinged grate, what would be the best way to achieve cooking both items? Would you throw the beans on first for a couple hours...
