Heck yeah! After 14 hours of sweaty work. I'm almost done. We chose not to put the roof on it since it's fully under the awning. I am going to put the rafters on. And use those to hang the lights.
The build and quality if this is beyond words. Nothing about this speaks cheap. Or thin material...
Morning folks!
Almost all of our previous camping trips have been lake front with breezes strong enough to usually keep those blood suckers at bay. Our new camp site is different. And while I'm usually not targeted too much. Ann's getting slaughtered! Until I get a few remote outlets in. I...
Last winter I purchased a used golf cart from a dealer in Florida. Looked like a good deal. But not even putting 10 miles on it. There's a bad grinding noise in the rear end. And it 15 mph. It shakes....bad.
Took it to a golf cart dealer near the camp. Axle slightly bent. Rear drive gear box...
Morning all,
So, back in early May. I sold a couple of my cheese cutting boards to a guy and his sister. The guy, Rich, said he had a new Vevor 40" by 14" wood lathe that he got. And never used. And said I could have it if I made him a couple of things with it for him. I politely declined...
I'm starting this build in a couple of weeks.
One of my largest builds yet. It'll be 8 feet long. With a 4"thick top. The hardware alone cost me a bit over 400.00. This is what Ann wants! How am I to argue?!
The cost of buying one made is crazy.
Got up at 4am to use the facilities. And wondered why it was so dang cold in the camper. Furnace wasn't running. Start up. And blow cold air for a couple of minutes. Then shut off. Huh, now what?
Checked the stove to see if it would light......nope.
Stupid me. It has been a cool May. And I...
Morning folks!
Spent yesterday loading up the truck. And a u-haul trailer. And going out to set up the camper. Whew! Long day! And since we're new. And some folks don't know camp etiquette. We spent a lot of time talking to folks. And petting Wally. That's ok though. We got a lot done. And the...
Morning folks!
Sorry, no pics from last night's meal. I grilled up some steak tips using a new to me marinade.
I let them soak for a few hours. Then tossed on grill.
And had with baked taters.
The steaks were fantastic!
Gonna use this on chicken next.
Hi all,
I made this the other day.
Store bought potato and cheddar pierogies. These were the Mrs. T's brand.
I used a few links of the hot sausage I made.
Cooked the sausage until pink. Sliced. Then put back in the pan with butter and a sliced onion.
Cooked into sausage was done. And onions...
I combined a few ideas from recipes I've seen.
Large raw shrimp
frozen cheese ravioli
fresh grated parm
garlic
heavy cream
chicken stock
parsley
salt and pepper
red pepper flakes
I really didn't measure.
Picture sucks. The food sure didn't!!
I had a couple respond to a post I have on a campground forum we are members of.
They asked if I could make a camping themed charcuterie board. I said let me see.
They love it!
Morning all,
For those that like Kartofflklobe. German potato dumplings. And relied on using the powdered mix until it got stupid $$.
I've tried 6 different recipes. And this one nailed it. Not hard to make. And they are delicious.

Happy Easter all!
So a couple days ago one of my kids. Talked to Ann about a gizmo he bought. It is called a Presto Pizzazz. Ann remembered that my mom had one. I forgot it. And she thought it would be a neat thing for the campsite. After looking into this thing. I found that it could do quite a...
Morning folks,
I'm curious about what ya'll doing for Easter? Since me and Ann are now empty nesters. We're very unconventional when it comes to holiday meals when we're by ourselves. We were actually the same often when we had kids in the house. One year we had a pizza party!
This year. We are...
Morning folks!
Last night we had a hankering for Chinese cuisine. So, I took out a couple packs of stew meat.
Cut it up. And start velveting it while getting the other items started.
Cut up some broccoli. Grated some ginger.
After 45 minutes. Rinsed the beef well. And patted dry.
Got the CI...
Morning all!
Got a 3 pound corned beef rolling on the pellet smoker.
Gave it good rub of.
2 tbs toasted and ground corainder
2 tbs of cracked pepper. Hit it a bit too long in the grinder
1 tbs onion powder
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs smoked pasprika
Set the smoker for 250.
Will check at 195 IT.
Stopped by Wegmans. And they had loaves of rye bread that was smaller in diameter then usual. Whether it was another one of their tricks to gouge your wallet. Or it was just something new. I'm betting the former. Anyway. It screamed ruebens to me!!
