Hello all, just finished my first smoke in the Oklahoma joe highland. Now I'm wondering how much I should clean it.
I brushed the food grates while they were still warm, paper towel'd the bottom of the CB to get the drippings, scooped the ash out of the FB and gave the bottom a quick paper...
Finally out seasoning, I've had a stroke of luck which will be great when it comes to smoking... my OK Joe Highland is stuck at 250 for the last hour. However I don't see that doing much for seasoning, so I'm starting over. Question though, what temp do I shoot for in a 2 to 3 hour seasoning...
Hey guys - thought I had this figured out.
Purchased the Red RTV that seems to a popular sealing solution from Amazon.
Thought the 3 oz bottle would suffice to create a custom gasket on both boxes.
Applied the RTV around lip on the box (not the lid) and even smoothed it with a plastic putty...
