I recently had to remove an ornamental flowering crabapple tree from my yard. The landscaper cut it up for me and I am letting it dry and I would like to use it for smoking. Has anyone had any experience using this type of wood? I would think it would be the same as "Apple".
Thanks for the welcome. I presently use a charcoal grill/smoker and a Webber gas grill here in southern Indiana. I am researching what will be my best option for a dedicated smoker, possibly even building after I retire next year.
