With A Heavy Heart And Sad Post!

Certainly, by his wife and kids and also by myself. We pretty much chatted on PM daily about something or other. Might be farming, equipment repair, curing, sausage making, something posted in the forum, or just general chit chat.

With A Heavy Heart And Sad Post!

My friendship with Eric spans back to 2021 when we first started private conversations. We had always used the same thread for new messages. My messages with him span almost 400 pages so, yeah, we talked a lot. Makes it a little easier to swallow that we never met in person, but damn I will...

    High Heat Cheese

Tillamook sharp or extra sharp works well in sausages without melting out. A good quality dry cheese works fine. Don't cheap out on store brands though, been there, done that. I only use Tillamook. One of the many things I learned from my friend Eric @SmokinEdge

Damn, how did I miss this! Eric and I became quite good friends and I will surely miss him! Prayers out to Carma and his boys.

    Best calculator to replace diggingdogfarm

If a recipe I'm using is not in metric, I convert it. Much easier to calculate, so batches of varying weights are both easy and consistent.

    Best calculator to replace diggingdogfarm

The best calculator is a good set of scales and a sheet of paper. It's always available no matter what.

How to use the new forum.

Trying to, more like. The text is harder to read in dark mode. Easy to read in light mode but the white background is kinda blinding

    Last Call for Schlitz Beer

Geez, I'd forgot about Schlitz beer. Haven't seen it in ages. I'm mostly a Busch guy but still drink PBR sometimes.

    ✨✨ SMF Upgrade - Feedback Thread ✨✨

IDK, the red text and washed out gray text in dark mode is harder to read. The light mode is easier to read, but too bright.

I figured I should give a follow up since I posted it in the open forum (prostate biopsy)

The whole gearbox comes out from the back. Different model than mine but made the same way.

SBRT. 5 fractions of a high dosage delivered exactly where it needs to go. Cyber Knife is the most well known machine, but The Elekta Versa HD is what they used on me. Both machines are linear accelerators and pretty much do the same thing...

    Leaking propane tank

If it continues to be a problem, just do like I do when my tanks get old. Trade it off at a store that has a tank exchange, then go back to refilling the empties cheaper.

    Featured Polish Style Lisiecka Sausage

Awesome sausages as usual, Eric. Congrats on a well deserved ride on the spinner!

I was offered a $10.00 gas card by the radiation clinic, but I passed. Told them to give it to someone who needed it worse than me. I expect Humana doesn't care that this follow up could have been handled over the phone rather than me going in person.

Other direction. The PTO shaft broke on my tractor, but Valley Equipment is the closest Mahindra dealer and are just outside of Somerset. Nowhere close to Lexington. The new shaft and seal will be in sometime next week. So another road trip lol. Probably going to be a blast to replace it.

My latest PSA test is down to 0.9; just a slight drop from 1.0 back in January. Still going down, so still good. Now here is where it gets stupid. My doctor's office is an 80 mile round trip with diesel at $5.39/gal. Humana medicare will not pay for a telehealth follow-up visit unless the...

Yes, the first page of new posts on the home page is now about like it always was instead of being much shorter.
