does not seem to get up to temperature set. I have my turky smoking and have the smoker set at 275 degrees- it is only going up to 210-215. It is cold outside (where the smoker is) 30 degrees but I didn't think it would affect my Masterbilt this much. Are others having the same problem? Paul
I have the Masterbilt 30 electric smoker and want to keep 11 chicken halves warm while I cook another 11. What would be the appropriate temp to set the smoker at to accomplish this? Thanks- Paul
Recently read that only fresh turkeys should be brined. Reasoning was that frozen turkeys are injected with a salt solution- can anyone shed some light on this= Paul
Appears there are hundreds of ways and ingredients for brining a turkey. I would like to ask the experienced which method and ingredients have you liked the best? I am really looking for ward to smoking my 1st thanksgiving turkey!!
I've read talk about splitting the turkey etc. (for safety). I have my turkey in a curing brine right now. I would like to keep the turkey whole as I am really getting practice for thanksgiving. Should I use a higher temp? I have a Masterbilt 30 electric smoker. I would appreciate all the help...
Got some and it says to brine at least 24 hrs and not to apply smoke until the bird has cooked for an hour- do you guys subscribe to that idea and what is the purpose? Paul
Cornell sauce in the can. I love Cornell flavored chicken but would also like a smoked flavor- do you think this would work? I have the masterbilt 30 (electric). Also, any recommendations for buying the beer can holder apparatus?

and am ready to smoke. Apparently the thermometer probe wires (have the 732) come up and out the air vent at the top of the electric smoker- correct? Also I would like to ask how high does the temp need to be to create smoke ( will it smoke at 225?). Thanks...
