    20" Pipe RF Smoker

Wow! I just found this whole 8 page thread just tonight. That is an absolutely awesome build. I am curious about the welding portion of the build. What size rods did you use for those edges? 7018's? I think it would be hard enough to do it with MIG, never mind a stick welder!

Anyone know a location to get the 32 quart pots for a good price in Canada?

MSUICEMAN, I live about an hour Northwest of Toronto, but work in Brampton. It would be great to hook up if it could work out! Thanks

Anyone know a location to get the 32 quart pots for a good price in Canada?

That's what I'm thinking I will have to do it nothing else pans out. I guess I could wait till August. I will be going to Michigan then, but summer is also almost over then! lol We took our vacation in the Southern US last summer, but with the low dollar this year, we will likely have to stay...

Double Smoked Hams---Times 4 (Step by Step)

Great timing on the "bump"! Thanks Bear! This is what I plan to do next week-end. I don't care if it is still snowing or not........that smoker is coming out of the shed! Lot's of great tips and recipe's there!

Anyone know a location to get the 32 quart pots for a good price in Canada?

I guess Disco is right.....we don't have much call for Tamale cookers up here. Now, if it was used to cook Samosa....that might be another story! lol Hard to fathom why an item sold in Walmart in the US for $21.47 would sell up here for $107.99. Nothing different, same pot.

Anyone know a location to get the 32 quart pots for a good price in Canada?

Naw, they don't allow us to use the US website as far as I know. The Canadian site for Walmart is useless! We might as well be a third world country! lol

Anyone know a location to get the 32 quart pots for a good price in Canada?

I managed to find a Weber Smoky Joe Gold on clearance at Walmart for $28 this past week-end, but the pots are nowhere to be found here. The only online retailers up here want $107 for these pots!!! Same Chinese made pot, just a ludicrous mark-up! I thought about just getting a sheet metal shop...

Buying first smoker - any hints?

Sounds like you are off to a great start! I would suggest buying Jeff's book and subscribing to his weekly emails if you have not already done so. Lots  of great ideas in there and on this forum. Good luck!

Where to buy temp probes for Maverick in toronto

Ontario gas BBQ in Vaughn has them.I was in there just before Christmas and they had them in stock. I was disappointed in the store itself though. I expected a mecca of accessories, but in fact they had very little selection and were overpriced.

Awful first ribs on new to me smoker

That is an interesting photo! I know it is an old thread (but new to me! lol). It looks like TBS on the right, and heavy white smoke on the left? Is it just the photo, or is that the way it is?

I'm also very late to this thread, but very glad to hear that Mrs. Bear is on the mend and things are going well for her.

Finally started my first build, Pictures attached

Very nice workmanship! I really like the idea of those custom made cook chamber door hinges that continue around the door. Looks like a great idea to hold the arc shape of the door from springing. Dave, I didn't even notice the hinges on the FB end until you pointed it out. I did notice the...
