My wife said I should smoke a butt?????

Thats great David, you are a lucky man.  My wife doesn't really like a lot of it, brisket is ok, but she has a problem with pork.  She says it isn't grey, so it dosen't look done.  It's ok though, it leaves more for me to eat!  Steve

My wife said I should smoke a butt?????

Isn't it great when the boss tells you to do something you wanted to do anyway but didn't want to ask about?  Good luck with your smoke.  If it turns out good maybe she will ask you to smoke more things!  Steve

    Seasoning Wood Question

We have Chinese Elm in our windbreak, and when it needs to be trimmed I have my son use the sawzall to trim with.  If the whole tree needs to come down he gets to use the chainsaw.  I have him do it so noone sez "look at the fat man in the tree".  Take care, and enjoy your smoking wood.  Steve

    This is pure torture !!!!

MrDK, Heal fast and relax a bit.  It won't be long before you are back to smoking meat.  Yes, a freezer just fore smoked meat is a good idea.  I just got a fridge for curing bacon and plan on using the freezer for the meat I smoke.  Get well soon!  Steve
