    Reheating pulled pork

    I put a bit in a micro safe bowl, add some finishing sauce, and heat on high for 1-1 1/2 min in the micro.  Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.  This is for 1-2 sammies.  Hope this helps.  Steve

    1st Bacon

    Today the bellies came out of the cure.  Did a test fry, it was a bit too salty, so soaked for 30 min in cold water.  Dried off and hung in cold smoker.  This was done at 11:30.  At 7pm filled Amns with apple dust and lit.  In the smoker for an overnight smoke, hopefully I will get some pics...

    What has become of my life?

    Being retired, I do not now have much stress.  I smoke good cigars, smoke meat, and cheese, and spend time here.  If things do get a bit stressful, I have a motorhome and go traveling.  To the lake fishing, to Celtic festivals, just out and about.  Retirement is great.  Steve
