    Smokin-It Model 2 - First Smoke

Well I promised a little documentary of my first smoke with the Smokin-It Model 2, so here we go. For the sake of clarity this will be my first smoke, of any kind, ever. Good or bad I'll lay it all out here and hopefully learn a thing or two. I'll be smoking a 7-3/4lb. pork butt (for PP) and...

Pork butt and spares...question on timing

Wanted to circle back with a little update. SMOKIN-IT SMOKER

After two years of wanting a smoker of some sort and a year of seriously contemplating an electric (for various reasons) I finally pulled the trigger today on a Smokin-It Model 2.  :)  Also ordered an extra 5lbs of hickory and a Maverick ET-732, so after a quick trip to the old meat market I...

    Time to officially check in...

My name is Chip and I'm a BBQaholic...wait...wrong forum.  Seriously, long time lurker here from Dracut, MA (will update profile after I post) and love how friendly and helpful everyone is.  I've never owned a smoker, so I'm as noob as they come, but I've learned a ton from you folks just...
