looking for help with a gmg mod

Not 100% sure how you plan on attaching it, but isn't there a vent hole for the fan on the bottom? I haven't got down and under mine so can't remember if there are any other obstructions to mounting it. Neat idea though, can't wait to see pics

    GMG issues.

I had that happen once, couldn't understand why the auger seemed to be just running constantly and I was only at 56! Pulled the plug, cleaned out the full firepot of pellets, dumped some back in and started with a torch. I obviously put too much back in because it blew by the set temp, but came...

First Try using GMG Pizza Oven

I don't have the pizza oven yet, but was told to make sure you don't throw a frozen pizza on! With the stone being 700 -800 degrees and the pizza being 32, it can (and did for this person) crack the stone!

Sponsored Giveaway for Inkbird 150 feet Bluetooth signal barbecue thermometer IBT-4XS with 4 Probes

Well I'm new to all this smoking world, don't have many cooks done yet, but so far my favourite was my ribs on the GMG Daniel Boone prime! I know they say it's pretty tough to screw up ribs, but I figured I'd find a way!! Oh and I'm up here in Canada!! Thanks for the opportunity! I tried...

    Pellet and dust storage...

I use these Gamma Lids, they come in different colors so easy to distinguish between them. Well at least for now since I only have 4 different types of pellets, but easy enough to write on the lid or bucket.

First pork loin roast and some corn cobs!

Thanks! I will try it next time directly on the grate and see how that goes. So in that case, would you flip it at all (Considering there is pretty much no fat cap on top)? Thanks, I think I will next time, might do a beef roast or maybe some steaks next. Was hoping to get a set of grill...

First pork loin roast and some corn cobs!

Well tried doing a pork roast yesterday, it turned out okay I think, but sure need to figure out when to throw on all the fixin's! Had made cut up little potatoes in the oven, but they were done WAY to early. Was trying to just keep them warm, instead made them into little dry burnt nuggets. Oh...

First real smoke under my belt, literally! (Pic heavy)

No, the Daniel prime, just the wife and I so didn't really think I needed the bigger one. Derrick

    Pellet Smoking With Some Rain

One thing to consider is not only the pellets, but I don't believe most of the controllers are waterproof either, so could be an expensive hot dog! I'm hoping to build a shelter for mine this summer. Of course went to start my first cook with it yesterday and the beautiful morning started to...

Since it's in my belly now, it's LITERALLY under my belt! Haha

First real smoke under my belt, literally! (Pic heavy)

Well today was the day I tried to figure out what the heck I bought this GMG for! Did a couple racks of ribs. Never smoked anything in my life, not even that good at the gas grill, but we gave her a go nonetheless! First rack was done in Jeff's rub, and the other was marinated as per the GMG...

Looking for suggestions sealing a GMG grill

Quick question, did you contact them? I just bought a Daniel Boone and had simply asked them if there was a product they recommended to help seal it up (after looking at your post) and they quickly asked for pics and said they were going to send me a new lid! Worth an email! Derrick

New GMG smoker, what's up with this cover??

I must say GMG Support has been AWESOME to talk to!! Quick responses and I happened to just add a quick question and asked them about if there was a gasket that they recommended ( I had seen the post on here about some people using some Lava Lock seal and some other things) to help seal the lid...

    Opinions on Pellet grills

I did a lot of reading and researching as a 100% complete newbie to this thing we call smoking, I wasn't quite ready to open the wallet too wide (read : "wife wasn't" in place of "I wasn't") on something I've never done, nor knew if we would use. If I did have my pick of the litter, pretty sure...

New GMG smoker, what's up with this cover??

Well here's what I've done in the meantime, hoping to build a shelter for it this summer, see how the money tree blooms I guess!! I do still want a longer one so I can leave the grease bucket out and hang my grill brush and leave the aluminum foil out there. For now, it will work

New GMG smoker, what's up with this cover??

Thanks Randy, I know I'm being a little over protective, but I take great pride in everything I own and want to keep it as nice as possible, at least on the outside. I'm not really worried about the legs getting wet, but it would be nice to be able to leave some utensils or the bucket attached...

New GMG smoker, what's up with this cover??

Haha, it's pointless is what it is! I must say, GMG actually just got back to me, no real answer or solution, just said "Derrick, we understand the cover, it is designed for the coverage of the front shelf and side shelf of the new prime grills. Thank you for the feedback and we are taking this...

New GMG smoker, what's up with this cover??

Hey all, just picked up my first smoker and time to start learning the ropes! So just did the initial burn last night, let it cool, went and took my fancy new cover out of the package and thought "what the heck is this supposed to do???" Not sure WHY it wouldn't be longer to actually...

    Sad Day Around Here

I don't know you, but my thoughts are with you! Hardest thing for me was saying goodbye to my big guy Gibson. A friend of ours made this for us and it is the most beautiful thing I could have asked for his final resting place, I will still shed a tear for him once and a while, but mostly...
