    If it was a 10% solution it would have weighted over 2 lb's when done....I don't get it..............we had about a 43% loss of weight. Yet a fairly clean smoker, no mess..............

    Anyone ever gotten an Electric Smoker Wet?

    I like to put it on the end of of very big deck when in use in good weather. If it starts to sprinkle I move it under the awening(sp?), not an easy task but dooable. When not in use its under the awening. It is pluged into a GFCI and I also have one in the main power box in case the deck GFCI...

    Fatty this weekend!

    I smoked my 1st fatty's the other day. One stuffed , one not. I stuck the probe in the unstuffed and when it was done I pulled them both. I didn't put a probe in the stuffed one. Had no problems. 225 till 160-165 degrees. Both were done perfectly in 1 1/2 hours. I let them rest for about 20 minutes.

    I haven't even bought it yet. I'm running late today so no brining. I hope to buy some that is packaged in a salt solution. I also intend to sprinkle lemon juice, thyme etc on pre-smoke. I hope I don't ruin it.........since I don't eat Salmon this is hard one for me. Trece

    We have a Masterbuilt and keep it on the end of the deck. If it looks like rain we move it under the awning. But I'm just curious, what happens if it did get wet from rain, has anyone had it happen? Thx, Trece

    My first attemp will be tonight. I'm gonna smoke a Salmon steak. I am assuming 2-3 hours at 225.....does that sound right? Is there a temp I need to get it to? I'm using a maple glaze, oddly enough I don't eat Salmon. I'm making it for my husband to take fishing w/him for breakfast this...
