Estate sale find - new kooker 25 years old

The home 3 houses up from us is having an estate sale so at lunch I decided to walk over and check it out. I'm a fan of a good estate sale.... Tons of neat stuff but as I was walking through the garage a box caught my eye! It was a King Kooker 56,000 btu burner with pot and basket included...

    Grinding spices

I use a different brand but still a single cup smoothly blinder, works well. I also have a dedicated coffee grinder for some stuff.

Thanks y'all, turned out great. All gone now, leftovers went in to soup and made awesome chicken salad!

Anyone know the name of this type of grill?

These are at city and state parks all over Texas. Camp sites have a variation where the box is on the ground and a large ring of steel comes out of the front to form a fire ring.

    Spicy drums w/zest

We dropped by Kroger for a few things a few days ago and I saw big packs of fresh wings! I suddenly wanted to grill some but right next to them was big packs of drumsticks. Wings are crazy these days, over $4/lb. I remember when butchers threw them out... the drums were $1.39/lb. I figured...

    Primo Action-Tuna & Asparagus

Thanks for the compliment. Tuna steak makes a great switchup during the week, unfortunately we're just doing it about monthly and I think you have the better approach. I can never bring myself to eat leftover tuna in steak form but it does make amazing tuna salad, I need to do it more often

    Primo Action-Tuna & Asparagus

Thanks guy's! It was very simple and tasty, the asparagus was right for the mission. I personally had a dab of CYM on the side

    Primo Action-Tuna & Asparagus

It's been hot but needed a quick dinner and didn't wanna heat up the house plus the Primo pre-heats as fast as our oven. Salt, pepper, and olive oil is all that this dish takes. Very tasty and good for you. No smoke, just clean lump at about 400°f for ~20 min. Pulled it when the tuna was...

    Friday night steak

The quality is always great, it's just that they cost a little more and never have sales. They always have Prime available, even prime brisket but I'm guessing that's region dependent.

    Friday night steak

The Mrs brought these home the other day and I had no choice. The clock was ticking away. $16.80 /lb, I couldn't risk loosing them. Just a screeching fire in the Weber and a few minute later, dinner! I actually just at steak, that's rare for me, I normally make room on the plate for salad or...

Grilled up some quick burgers on the Hasty Bake

Looks like an excellent burger. First time I ever saw a hasty bake was Ken Rollins cooking on one.

Building an offset cold smoker- a little advice please.

Since the whole thing is essentially a vertical chimney the height of your stack need only be a nub. I'd go 6" on the diameter but 4" would be fine and use something like this on top: Many smokers like this don't even have a stack and just use gaps at the top to vent. I suggest piping the...

    Pork Belly for the win!

After the seasoning I put on there sat on the counter for probably 2 hours it developed in to a velvety red. Smoking it in the offset with post oak didn't hurt but glazing it at the end with maple syrup really made it pop.

    Pork Belly for the win!

The fajita seasoning worked very well. It's a nice savory flavor. Yes, I waited until the very end of the cook and used a silicone brush and just brushed a good coat of maple syrup over it and gave it another 30 minutes to set up. Just what the doctor ordered!
