I may have already ask this in the past, if so forgive me but i put this boston butt on a 730 last night and it went 201 at almost to the minute 730 this morning. I wrapped tightly in aluminum foil then wrapped in towel and in my ice chest it went. problem is we are not eating til around 4 this...
i prepared a rack tues nite, rub down with mustard, dry rube and wrapped in celephane and put in the fridge. seems plans has changed on smoking them. how long can i leave them in this stage??
i know what happened. my second probe in six months has gone belly up. gonna contact thermopro in the morning. they told on my last one carried a life time replacement warranty if i bought the unit before the first of jan, 18, which i did. i think they have since gone to a one year replacement...

Al, thanks for asking. it turned out so good i going to get another one today and smoke it up for my neighbors. i used bear's recipe with a little twist using my own glaze.
I did email them but did not have my receipt. when i got that to them, also by email, they sent me a new one the next week. i think there is a number you can call them direct on. someone here probably has it. good luck, good smoking. jb
I did have one probe go bad after about three months after purchase and the replaced it. in fact since i bought it in year 2017 it has a life time warranty on the probes..I think i heard they have since changed it to one year...
Put a ham on this morn around 7, fired up my amps and have not gone back out there since. the bottom number is the temp in my smoker and the top number is the IT of the ham..gonna apply glaze at 135 and pull at 144 or so...
i did have one of my thermopro TP20 probes go bad after about four months and they replaced it, very accurate on both probes. saying a thermometer is junk may be over the top a little. To each his/her on but I don't cook or smoke anything without it. good luck..
