Butts, foil, and bark
Yes and a higher temp would help to carmelize the sugar which darkens the bark. Also think mustard slather makes a difference also! -

I met him a while back ... my brother Triple B won a BBQ party that included a new BBQ grill and a backyard party with Rob Rainer cooking and of course being family and all ... I got to go! We fed him and his brother beer all afternoon and had a great time ....- squeezy

Pork Butt Question
On the subject of double wrapping ... I had leaks, so now I put my butt in a foil pan, wrap once with foil ... then the towel/cooler thing ... no loss of juices and no dirty towel! -

You ought to see what we get here for Country style or sometimes called Texas style ... it is the loin connected where the ribs and spine meet and butterflied so that there is spine at one end and a small portion of rib at the other. Sold as a slab or sliced into 2 inch strips. It is interesting...- squeezy

Curious - newbies, what thread/post hooked you?
This is the first forum I have ever used, but after struggling with my ECB for a few years (poor results) decided there had to be a better way .... I found the propane conversion on my own, which gave me control, then I needed to figure out how to Q. Not sure how my browsing stumbled onto this...- squeezy

Smoking My first Meatloaf ?
This one was a while ago ... used butcher ground beef with an every day recipe ... onions, eggs, peppers, bread crumbs, garlic, worscestershire, and seasonings ... internal was 160º Topped at the end with ketchup or BBQ sauce ... don't remember now. Rested a few minutes before slicing. Hope that... -

We are going to hop Bush's fence over the border and visit my daughter -in-law at Oshkosh Wi. from Sunday 'til Friday. Just a grill there, so won't be Qing .... although I might fabricate something one day weather permitting ... (fingers crossed)- squeezy

I agree with Richtee ... including the chuckle! Besides that, it looks like it actually works ... If you have access to more drums, very decent smoker designs are available here. I'm sure a few members will be along with their expertise shortly. -
