First Time Turkey Smoke - This Saturday

I have a Camp Chef 24" Smoke Vault.  I do have room to spatchcock it.  I'll read up on that technique.  If I don't I'll use a turkey cannon to hold it upright while it cooks.  That is suppose to let the heat into the cavity better.

First Time Turkey Smoke - This Saturday

I am working on preparations for my first time turkey smoke session.  As we all do, I've done my research and found the technique I wan to use.  It will be a dry brine on an apple wood smoke. I got a free turkey a few months back that I've had in the freezer just for smoking and now that I've...

    First baby back ribs

LOL I learned a long time ago, the proper response to anything SWMBO says is, "You're absolutely right dear, what could I have been thinking!" while slapping your hand on your forehead.

    Another Great Butt

This was my third port butt. We decided Saturday afternoon to have my parents over for Father's Day dinner and that I would smoke a port butt.  At the store I selected a nice 8.6 lbs Boston Butt.  Preparation: Once home, I rinsed it thoroughly, wrapped it in plastic and put it in the...

    Arizona Smoke Signals

Sorry, can't help you as I myself am new to smoking.  However, I've never let the heat deter me in my grilling activities.  I'll cook outside regardless the weather.  Hot, cold, rain, or shine, you'll find me cooking outside.  Smoking is just another of my many outdoor activities that I enjoy...

    Arizona Smoke Signals

Hello everyone,  Mark here from south central Arizona.  I've been a griller for 34 years.  I almost don't have need for my indoor stove or oven anymore.  I tried my hand at smoking on the grill with limited success over the years.  For my birthday this year, I got myself a Camp Chef 24" Smoke...
