    Thanks SMF Family!

Too true...fatty's were a hard sell to the wife, that is until she tried some. Everytime I make some everyone crinkles their face up, and says you smoked a what...then they comment about it being weird...then they try it, and are hooked, wolfing down slice after slice. And after all whats more...

    Thanks SMF Family!

Thanks to this site, all the receipes, and help from the members my tastebuds have gotten an upgrade. I was in Louisville last weekend to attend a HS reunion for my wife. While she was out getting her hair done with friends I went, and searched out the most out of the way mom and pop Que joint I...

CHAR-GRILLER Smokin Pro - product reveiw

Welcome to the CG family. I love mine. A suggestion about the sfb to add is that the paint will bubble, and peel, etc. brush off the paint flakes, and spray the underlaying metal with PAM or brush with veg oil. If done while hot it will season the outside of the sfb, and keep it from rusting...

    Newbie from Wisconsin

Not a stupid question at all. A knight in the OTBS (Order of the Thin Blue Smoke) is one of a group of people who have contributed to this board by answering questions, encouraging others, posting pics, and genearlly making SMF the best site on the internet to find good, timely help when needed...

    My little Charcoal Smoker

That would make a good fire box for a home built horizontal smoker...kinda cute as a grill. It's like a chihuahua sized grill. The one on the right is Hank (think regular smoker)...the one on the left is Pedro (Red brinks new smoker/grill) .

    I finaly got a deal!

Way to got Debi! That story sounds like so many my father-in-law tells about wheelin' and dealin' with sales people. I love it Hey peculiarmike:At this point I almost am shocked if I buy something, and it doesn't say "Made In China". Sad ain't it!

Got that one saved...sounds like it should be good. Gonna try that next time I do the beans. I'll let you know how they turn out.

    Arrrg! What to do!

I got my Chargriller at Lowes, same price as Hawg states. It was easy to put together. I think it's a well made pit...HEAVY door on the sfb. I thought the Brink pit, the barb chef, and the charbroil smoker all were made of higher gauge metal (thinner metal) on the fire box any way, probably has...

Are we married to the same woman. Mine makes fun of me to her co-workers. She's afraid that if someone ever looks at the pics on her camera they'll think she has a meat fetish. Haven't heard the first complaint about the food I've made with everyone's help, or the great reciepes that have come...

Big smoke for The Supreme Knight

Sorry the finished pics are just now coming. I ate, and fell asleep...Hey in my defense I'd been up for like 26 hours Spares were the best I've ever done...just the right amount of pull from the bone (a little bite, not mushy), the chicken was juicy, and had just the right amount of smokey...

Big smoke for The Supreme Knight

Told you I'd smoke some meat in honor of Dutch's big day! May the Smoke Gods smile upon us. Spare ribs (and trimmings), beef ribs, spatchcock chicken, and a beef roast (marinated in worchester, garlic, and butter). I didn't really have a reason, but since it's Dutch's b-day, this smokes for you.
