I have the exact same problem with the seal, and when I called customer service, they said I only needed a new seal, and not a new door. They siad there should be a clip every 6 inches on the bottom, not just one in the middle.
Will wait and see when I get the new seal.

Bought a small pork lion that was on sale today for $1.69 a lb. Filleted it to roll out in about 1/3 sections.

I dont know, I had it set at 225, and it got to 160 in about 3-4 hours (I did sear it, so it started at about 100 F in the smoker), and in 1.5 hours it was at 190.
Obviously somthing didnt work, becuase it was not tender.
