I only started a few weeks ago and I can say that T-H ans Des are right. I ran out of lump and had to resort to briquettes and they are much messier.

Welcome Andy, I too just started smoking 4 weeks ago and since I've done Spare Ribs, baby backs, and chickens. In between smokes I grilled burgers, chicken breast and grilled some country ribs with indirect heat and I had to throw on a few chips to take the edge off the craving for more smoke...

    Orange flame Update

Hey Ron gret looking peppers. In one of the views it looked as if there was kechup or Q-sauce in the caps, what was it and did it serve a purpose other than great looks? Regardless, I am doing to give that a try. I love stuffed peppers!

    Webber Kettle Q

I didn't have the time to smoke so I resorted to a little indirect heat on the old Webber Kettle. Took some country ribs and marinaded them in orange and soy for a bit. Boy it sure was good! Any good marinades out there?

    Q-view from UDS first run

Invader, I used a DAP product called "High Heat," furnace and chimney caulking which comes in a tube. Seems to have sealed well and cured in no time. Oh yeah, I got mine at Home Depot, but DAP is a pretty common brand at most hardwares. Hope that helps.

Help with Char-Griller Smokin Pro w/SFB

I had the same setup with minimal mods and found that if I poured the fuel to it I had an issue with what seemed to be not enough air to feed the fire. I proved that by opening the drawer to allow for more air and the temp went up. I then since then added a basket to lift the coals from the...

    A Learning Experience

Well, I added a couple more mods, digital grate thermos, coal basket and baffle and went for another try. This time baby backs. They did turn out really good (better than the week before last), at least that is what everyone said, including me. Anyway, I learned about the effects of wind...
