    I am making a reverse flow smoker from a propane tank, am I going to have any problems if my baffle plate is within 2 inches from the grate? ot is that preffered will JB weld hold up ok to high heat?

    I finally have my tank, it is a 150 gallon old tank, the valves were all removed well over 10 years ago, there is rust and water in the tank from rain over the years, do you all think its good to cut as is?

    I am looking at a horizontal offset smoker not real big that has a 36 inch verticle at the opposite end of the firebox, the horizontal part is 30 x 19, my question is if a person is smoking at 250 on the horizontal part, what would you expect the temp of the verticle to be?

    Need a few opinions please, I can get a galv water tank to build a revearse flow offset type smoker, it is in good shape, however not near thickness of a propane tank, is it worth the effort ? anyone buiild a smoker with a Galv water tank?
