from the top of the Chase to top of exhaust i dont think it does much.. it looks good but imo thats all.. why insulate a exhaust after the air has expanded? the opening of the exhaust is the measurement used for proper draw so the doubled area is dead.. i think it just adds looks but maybe...
Nice looking bird.sounds like you have a plan in place.. any plan is better then no plan or just "winging" it.. my planned cooks always turn out better..

you did the rite thing by pulling them.. when it comes down to it when we cook, we cook to temp.. if you hit your desired temp in 5 hrs. maybe next time try a 2 2 1 or a 2.5, 1.5 1 = now you...
can you explain or maybe have a picture of what your ash looks like when you empty it? my ash looks to be really loose in the bottom of the cooker itself but really dense and maybe even "caked" up looking when i dump the cup out..
I would have to hit the feed cycle to refill the Auger though correct? i didnt have to do that.. i tried to figure out the problem and i couldnt.. so i ended up hitting bypass and it fired back up.. // Temp oscillation may have been the issue.. i did open and close the door 4 times as i...

thanks Hawg, I gotta be honest here. I'm going out on a limb. I have thought this flavor profile through my head several times but have never tried it.. so of course I'm doing 4 racks.. I'm trying to use other things rather than brown sugar, or sugar based for that matter.. seems like I use...
